Challenge:
Impetus led an extensive reorganisation project for a multinational
pharmaceutical company in Switzerland. The company was experiencing
serious underperformance problems in the Swiss market and all indications
were that this was a management competence related issue.
Approach:
- Impetus conducted a thorough analysis
of the situation and presented recommendations for change to Senior
Managers at European Board level. Recommended changes were for people,
business process and HR functional changes.
- Impetus implemented a change plan involving
major board and other management changes. This involved external
and internal recruitment and assistance in stabilising the organisation,
implementing business process changes, training, coaching and ongoing
assistance until performance started to meet planned norms.
Results:
An organisation structure, key people, and a HR strategy have been
implemented to enable the business to meet their business objectives
over the next 3-5 years.
