Challenge:

To devise and implement a rationalisation project for a major multinational FMCG company in Ireland. This involved the closure of a food ingredients manufacturing facility employing 70 people.

Impetus Approach:

  • Impetus developed a total project plan in conjunction with local and European management involving communications with all stakeholders.
  • We negotiated a closure agreement with two Trades Unions and implemented a social plan to mitigate effects on employees and their families.

Results:

The rationalisation project was implemented within budget and without any negative consequences for the company’s other business in Ireland.
