Impetus HR Consultants was set up by Tom Fahey, an Irishman who has worked for global corporations around the world. Tom is one of Ireland's leading HR Consultants and has worked extensively throughout Europe, the Middle East and South Africa.
Tom has a particular interest in people management and organisation development strategies. He has lectured and conducted management training internationally on many aspects of leadership and people development in the course of his work.
Throughout his career, Tom has gained significant experience of all aspects of industrial relations and has been responsible for the successful start-up and closure of businesses throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
He has particular expertise in resolving the HR issues that affect the pharmaceutical industry as he was Human Resources Director for Merck Sharp & Dohme Europe, one of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies. With responsibility for developing and implementing Human Resources strategy Tom gained valuable insights on all aspects of business as he worked throughout Europe.
Tom has extensive experience of all aspects of human resources in manufacturing, marketing and distribution organisations both in Ireland and internationally. He now operates as an independent international HR consultant and works with companies in Ireland and abroad.
He holds degrees in science and management and has studied Human Resources at Insead and European Labour Law at Amsterdam University.
